Executive/Personal Assistant to Interior Designer


I am assisting with filling this job for a for a client of mine and I will be doing preliminary interviews and then arranging face to face interview with my client, a very successful Celebrity Interior designer located in Hollywood, CA. Position is available immediately! Hours are M-F, 10am-6pm and pay will commensurate with your experience. The Assistant’s workplace is on-site at the designer’s home office and you will be expected to be running around A LOT throughout busy Los Angeles so having your own vehicle is a must (mileage is reimbursed), and you will be accompanying the designer to client project sites as well, and also independently shopping for materials/furnishings, etc – therefore a LOVE of interior design (or similar aesthetic) is vital.The ideal candidate MUST have a proven job history of supporting very busy senior level people or business owners and MUST be passionate about interior design or similar aesthetic, organized, detail-oriented, creative, self-motivated, and works well independently and as a team player.

Must be able to comfortably:

  • Schedule appointments
  • Assist and initiate design concepts
  • Create client presentation materials and mood boards
  • Hand draw or use SketchUp software to create floor plans
  • Communicate and manage orders with vendors and retailers
  • Monitor multiple project scopes of work, budgets and deadlines
  • Provide project updates
  • Communicate with and coordinate contractors and other tradespeople
  • Source items
  • Price and research materials


  • Is not easily overwhelmed by many tasks at hands, and most likely enjoys all the challenges of getting it done
  • Excellent command of basic technical skills i.e., Windows PC with MS office products, can navigate a smartphone like a wiz, understands that technology is your friend and you incorporate it into your job because you know it makes you more efficient.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, can make decisions on behalf of the Company once fully trained
  • Works well independently and is a natural self-starter
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Detailed note-taker (includes hand-sketching design spaces during meetings, taking accurate measurements, and notes regarding concepts and approvals from clients at meetings, etc.)

Co-owner of successful Title Search business is seeking a full-time administrative/personal assistant.  Work from her home-based office located in the heart of Hollywood.  This position is entry level and applicants with minimal experience are welcomed to apply!


The right candidate should possess the following:

  • Basic MS office skills (Word, Excel..)
  • Command of the English language with good grammar skills for writing correspondence
  • Self starter who can take imitative to google when you need to figure something out
  • Dependable and Reliable including your transportation

Pay will commensurate with your experience and after 3 months of full-time employment you will receive Medical Insurance fully paid for by the company.  Additionally, there is an opportunity to work partly from home after you are fully trained to perform the job duties.
